It’s back to school time in Alabama. The kiddos are so sad that their summer is over. We have shopped for our new clothes, shoes, new supplies, and cleaned out closets and rooms. I think we are ready. We have visited the schools, decorated our lockers, and showed other new kids around the schools.
Since the madness of registration and open house and school tours are over, the first day of school will be a breeze for me after I get them off! And here they go:
So I decided to bake cookies for the girls for when they get back from the first day. I wanted them to have a special after school snack they hadn’t had before. I wasn’t sure what to make, and looked through the cabinets for some chocolate chips, but found this bag of Heath bar pieces. OOOH!
So I turned it over to get the cookie recipe and was so glad to know they would be basically peanut butter cookies with Heath bar pieces. YUM!
I have such fond memories of coming home after school when my mom would have fresh baked cookies on the counter!
These cookies were a huge hit with our family. I recommend making these. I hope you enjoy these cookies as well as we did!
